Rice, Tsinghua establish Joint Research Center for Human Capital, Sustainable Innovation

On May 20 in Beijing’s historic Gong Zi Ting garden, Rice President David Leebron and Tsinghua University President Qiu Yong met to discuss collaboration between the two leading research universities and to ceremonially sign the establishment of the Rice-Tsinghua Joint Research Center for Human Capital and Sustainable Innovation. The center aims to play an active role in promoting cooperation in human resource research, training top-notch talent and stimulating innovative ideas.

Joining Leebron in Beijing were Peter Rodriguez, dean of Rice’s Jones Graduate School of Business, and Jing Zhou, the Mary Gibbs Jones Professor of Management, the dean’s senior adviser on international affairs and a renowned scholar on innovation and creativity in the workplace.
