Ken Kennedy Institute Affiliation
We would like to request support from members to list their Ken Kennedy Institute affiliation when appropriate. This is a practice being adopted by all Rice Institute to enhance visibility and strengthen activities and fundraising efforts. Please see the recommended examples below for how to list your affiliation:
- Inline with your home department in your publications, presentations, news and media coverage, and related activities when your work falls in the Ken Kennedy research areas, as in: Department of Computer Science and Ken Kennedy Institute, Rice University, Houston, TX 77005
- As a standalone line (in addition to other affiliations) in your title, profile, and CV as in: Member, Ken Kennedy Institute or Member, Ken Kennedy Institute, Rice University, Houston, TX 77005
Acknowledgment of Ken Kennedy Institute Support
Members need to acknowledge the Ken Kennedy Institute’s support (when appropriate, e.g., if the work was supported by cluster funding and/or by the Ken Kennedy Institute through administrative tasks, planning efforts, sponsored shared equipment, fellowships, other seed grants, etc.) on publications, presentations, CVs and Biosketches, news and media coverage, and related activities. They must also provide an annual update with the publications/activities that acknowledge Ken Kennedy Institute’s support. Please include an acknowledgment line as follows:
- [X] was supported in part through seed funding from the Ken Kennedy Institute
- [Y] was accomplished with support from the Ken Kennedy Institute
Recording Proposals in Cayuse
Members need to record affiliation with the Ken Kennedy Institute in Cayuse for proposal submissions that were supported by the Ken Kennedy Institute through the research clusters initiative, seed funding, or administrative/event support.
When providing details to your pre-award specialist, please let them know to add Ken Kennedy (12480) as an affiliated unit under the general information tab within Cayuse. For those filling out the School of Engineering Pre-Award Intake Form, write a note for your pre-award specialist in the “Further details to help us serve you more effectively” box.
