The base-level of partnership supports graduate students at Rice University through our annual Sponsored Fellowship Program, and it provides access exclusive events and opportunities in collaboration with the Ken Kennedy Institute team.

The Center for High-Performance Computing at bp is at the forefront of innovation and commercial research in the energy industry, providing the skills, expertise, and compute platforms that enable groundbreaking advancements in fields like subsurface imaging, simulations of hydrocarbon and carbon sequestration reservoirs, wind, molecular biology, and lubricants.
Computational scientists at the Center for High-Performance Computing (CHPC) work with technology and business teams to develop and optimize their simulation and data processing tools, and HPC platform engineers are responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining bp's computational environment.
bp is on a journey to explore GPUs and other new HPC hardware to handle ever-more demanding computing tasks at a faster pace – while tapping into advanced liquid-cooled technology to manage power usage sustainably.
