Ken Kennedy AI and Data Science Conference

October 25-27, 2021

The 2021 AI and Data Science Conference is scheduled to take place October 25-27. This year we have an exciting line up of invited speakers from NASA, IBM, AWS, Human Rights Data Analysis Group, Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, and Rice University. Wednesday Workshop Add-On Day

Wednesday, October 27 will be an add-on day with a technical workshop highlighting deep learning and high-performance computing with Alex Smola, VP of AWS, and Anshumali Shrivastava with Rice University.

Submit an Abstract to the
Wednesday Workshop Track

You are invited to prepare an extended abstract for presentation on the special add-on day within the 5th Annual 2021 Ken Kennedy AI and Data Science Conference at Rice University by the Ken Kennedy Institute.

Accepted abstracts will be asked to deliver a 15-20 minute presentation, including Q&A, as part of the Wednesday workshop. Presentations will be live-streamed to those who are unable to attend in person.

The add-on day will be on Wednesday, Oct. 27th and will include hands-on tutorial sessions and additional technical talks focused on Scalable and Sustainable AI: Overcoming the Wide Gap Between AI in Theory and AI in Production.

Abstract submissions are due on September 3, 2021.

Conference Call for Abstracts
on Monday and Tuesday

The Ken Kennedy Institute invited you to submit an abstract in consideration for giving a talk in the technical program during the conference on October 25-26. Accepted abstracts will be asked to deliver a 15-minute presentation, including Q&A, as part of the conference program. Presentations will be live-streamed to those who are unable to attend in person.

This year we are asking authors to categorize abstracts into one of four different tracks:
  1. AI for Good
  2. Algorithms, Foundations, Visualizations, and Engineering Applications
  3. Business Impact/ Industry
  4. Healthcare
Abstract submissions are due on September 3, 2021.
