The Ken Kennedy Institute is awarding $135,000 in Computational Science and Engineering Fellowships to nine graduate students at Rice University.
The fellowships are funded by the Ken Kennedy Institute, through its annual Oil & Gas High Performance Computing Conference, and the nominating departments. The goal of the program is to attract graduate students to Rice in the fields of computational science and engineering, high performance computing and data analytics, with special consideration given to students with research interests in the energy industry.
Each enhancement fellowship comes with a $15,000 stipend paid in monthly installments over four years. The graduate students receiving fellowships for 2020 are:
- Kristen Curry, computer science (CS)
- Raul Garcia, computational and applied mathematics
- Bryant Jerome, applied physics
- Mirae “Sunny” Kim, CS
- Camille Little, electrical and computer engineering (ECE)
- Naiming “Lucy” Liu, ECE
- Catherine “Anne” Tuppen, ECE
- Cameron Wolfe, CS
- Tiancheng Xu, CS
