We encourage you to notify our team of research news (in advance, or as soon as possible) that can be promoted via press releases, social media, or other forums so we can help coordinate or share your work. Our team can collaborate with Public Affairs to amplify your research. Please note that the work should be approved for public release at the time of dissemination. It is also recommended for material to be clear and understandable for non-experts, as it will be shared to broad audiences.
Examples include:
- Faculty Expert Alerts — produced in collaboration with the Ken Kennedy Institute and Public Affairs
- Academic or research-related awards
- Papers for publication
- External speaking invitations
- Stories or student awards, internships, etc.
- Research Showcases

Members interested in speaking at a future Ken Kennedy Institute Luncheon can reach out to David Pynadath (dp107@rice.edu). Speaking opportunities range from 5-20 minute speaking slots, depending on the level of engagement with the institute and membership status.
We also work with our research clusters to host meetings, mixers, seminars, or workshops when able. If you're interested in being supported by our team, reach out to us early in your planning stages to gauge availability and fit.
We can consider additional opportunities for showcasing member research through speaking commitments. Let us know what you have in mind!
