The Ken Kennedy Institute at Rice University is dedicated to the advancement of research in the fields of computing and data-enabled science. From its roots in computer science, electrical and computer engineering, computational and applied mathematics, and statistics, the Institute has grown to encompass 190 faculty spanning the entire university. The Institute fosters the development of fundamental and applied research that challenges traditional disciplinary limits. In collaboration with the director and the Institute’s advisory board, the executive director develops plans to achieve the Institute’s mission and strategic priorities. The ideal candidate is immersed in the evolving landscape of computing research and has proven experience in team building, proposal development, and in fostering interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary partnerships within the university and with industry.
